Well, it's a night of favorites, and that means chocolate chip cookies for dessert. My super picky hubby has tried so many different chocolate chip cookies over the years, and by far his ultimate favorite are made using the Toll House recipe on the back of their chocolate chip packages. So look no further!
Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 1/2 C flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 sticks butter, room temperature
3/4 C brown sugar
3/4 sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs, room temperature
2 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375. Cream butter and sugars. In seperate bowl whisk together flour, soda and salt. Add eggs and creamed sugars to flour mixture along with vanilla. Mix till creamny dough forms. Fold in chips. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet, a couple inches apart. Bake 9 minutes, or till golden brown. Let cool a few minutes before removing.

We love Toll House too. We were reading that the Toll House cookie recipe was originally an oops. She put choc chips in thinking they would melt and make chocolate cookies. Thank heavens for this "oops"!
