Almost Like Orange Julius

It's Monday and that means Family Home Evening... which means... treats! Tonights treat is the Strawberry Whip. I was looking for something sweet and delicious, yet somewhat healthy. With yogurt, fresh strawberries and orange juice... I'm onto something!
I got the original recipe (that I tweeked a bit... to get more of an Orange Julius flavor) from our weekly FHE lesson plan. I love http://ldslivingmagazine.com/categories/show/3 this link! It's from LDS Living Magazine. It's awesome! I sign-up for their weekly email and get an entire lesson with song, story, scripture (EVERYTHING) and a recipe for a new treat each week! I highly recommend it! It makes FHE so much more enjoyable taking all the stress out of planning! So that's my 2 cents.

Strawberry Whip
2 C sliced strawberries
¼ C sugar
1 C vanilla yogurt
½ C orange juice (or pineapple juice)
½ tsp vanilla
1 C crushed ice

Sprinkle berries with sugar. Place in blender or food processor with yogurt, juice and vanilla. Blend well on mix for about 10 seconds. Add crushed ice and blend again on “ice crush” for about 5 more seconds.

Serves 2
